The first Vacheron Constantin Overseas watch, a reinterpretation of a 1933 model, was launched in 1996.

In 2009, Vacheron Constantin introduced titanium in two new models of its Overseas line: the Overseas Automatic and the Overseas Automatic Chronograph.

The case of these two new models, with a large diameter of 42 mm, has all the features of the Overseas collection: a bazel inspired by the Maltese cross, sleek lines, hour markers and screwed-down pushers for the chronograph model, white luminescent hour markers, water resistance to a depth of 150 meters, equivalent to 15 ATM, and, finally, the Overseas emblem, engraved on the caseback – a vessel with three masts Amerigo Vespucci.
